Illusion stands out in the Fashion Transparency Index

Ilusión, group flagship brand Diltex Brands, joined, for the first time, the Second Index of Fashion Transparency in Mexico 2021 presented by Fashion Revolution and Arlenica. 

In this edition, 31 brands and retailers were evaluated, 12 more brands compared to the 19 that were analyzed in 2020. Within this group, only 28 brands with national capital and three international ones were considered, the vast majority from the clothing sector.

“We are very proud to be part of this effort within the industry. It is essential for us to make our efforts transparent to assess our progress, set goals and continue to improve to raise awareness of the importance of accountability for all of us in this sector. For Ilusión it is, without a doubt, one more opportunity to continue improving and to invite more participants to this Index ”, he said. In the particular case of Ilusión, some key points stand out for which it is located in fourth place of the 31 brands mentioned above and heads the list of national brands.

The organizers revealed that the global average score obtained by the participants was 6% and from this the 6 highest scores were established and where Ilusión obtained the fourth place with a 15% which places it above the sectoral average. 

In the press release the company explained that, during the evaluation process, Ilusión participated in the strengthening spaces designed for companies in order to increase the transparency of their media such as their website. Similarly, on issues related to environmental efforts, "the brand was the only Mexican that showed commitments, objectives or goals to improve environmental impact, as well as the annual progress of its progress." 

Regarding the use of sustainable materials, consumption and circularity, Ilusión is one of the two Mexican brands that publish their carbon footprint or greenhouse gas emissions. This is in line with the Conscious Fashion manifesto which governs all the brands that are part of Diltex Brands. 

Regarding traceability in the supply chain, the brand publicly discloses its list of top-level suppliers and is part of the group that shares more information on this point. 

Taking into account the proactive efforts made by the industry against COVID-19, a topic that was incorporated into this edition of the Index, Ilusión was part of the 35% of participants who disclosed the protection measures in offices or stores to prevent contagions, it was also considered at 23% who shared professional training programs or activities for their direct employees.
